The majority of funds are in Pillar II, which holds 237.4 billion lei and has 8.54 million participants. Pillar III also saw growth, with assets rising to 8.78 billion lei and participants increasing to about 1.1 million. Investments are primarily in low-risk financial instruments, with 67% in fixed-income assets. The ASF warns of short-term fluctuations in asset values but emphasizes the long-term stability of private pension funds.
