Pensia în România: Cum sunt luați în calcul anii de facultate, master sau doctorat urmați în afara țării • Știri Brașov Biz Brasov

In Romania, periods of university and postgraduate studies abroad can be recognized for pension calculations under specific conditions. The law allows for these studies to be considered as assimilated contribution periods, provided that the necessary diplomas are obtained and recognized. An estimated 200,000 to 300,000 Romanians have studied abroad since the 1990s, with 35,000 to 40,000 students annually in recent years. The legislation specifies that not only bachelor's degrees but also master's and doctoral diplomas can be included in pension calculations, as long as the legal requirements are met.
