PENNY România has evaluated its food donation program's impact for 2024-2025, focusing on greenhouse gas emissions avoided and social return on investment. The program, in collaboration with food banks, donated 8,479 tons of food, preventing approximately 4,346 tons of CO₂ emissions. The social value generated is estimated at over 473 million euros, reflecting significant benefits for recipients and society. Both studies utilized recognized methodologies to assess environmental and social impacts, highlighting both quantifiable and unquantifiable benefits.
