Peisajului Minier Roșia Montană nu poate fi scos încă de lista patrimoniului mondial în pericol. Răspunsul oficialilor UNESCO: Principala amenințare nu a fost complet înlăturată
The conservation of the Rosia Montana mining landscape has seen ongoing progress, but conditions for its removal from the UNESCO World Heritage in Danger list remain unmet. UNESCO officials highlighted that the main threat, potential resumption of mining activities, has not been fully eliminated due to unresolved legal disputes regarding the mining license. Despite Romania's efforts, the World Heritage Committee expressed concerns over delays in the revised Management Plan and the need for legal resolutions. The site was inscribed on the World Heritage list in July 2021, recognizing its exceptional universal value. However, it remains on the endangered list, with no clear timeline for its removal. Recent arbitration rulings have favored Romania against Gabriel Resources, but financial disputes continue to linger.
