Traffic on the Transfăgărășan will be completely blocked on Saturday for a triathlon event, following previous restrictions this week. The closure will affect a 54-kilometer stretch from Vidraru Dam to Bâlea Lac between 07:00 and 18:00. This measure is necessary for the "TRANSFIER 2026" sports competition, which includes swimming, cycling, and running. Earlier this week, traffic was also halted for several hours due to other events.
