Patru mari operatori telecom din Europa vor să lanseze un rival pentru Starlink
Four major European telecom groups are exploring satellite mobile services to compete with Starlink. Deutsche Telekom, Orange, Telefónica, and Vodafone signed a letter of intent to jointly analyze a bid for radio frequency spectrum. This initiative comes amid geopolitical tensions over satellite telecom services. The European Commission proposed reserving a frequency band for European operators, which has drawn criticism from SpaceX and raised concerns about connectivity in Ukraine. The companies plan to build necessary ground infrastructure while collaborating with an existing satellite provider. Analysts view this as a positive step for European telecom operators.
