The Hiking Years program offers four hiking routes in Sibiu County for all fitness levels on September 12-13, 2026. Options include easy trails through orchards and Saxon villages, as well as medium-difficulty mountain hikes in the Cindrel Mountains and along the Via Transilvanica. Saturday features two routes: one from Slimnic to Hamba, and another combining hiking with a practical workshop on dog encounters. Sunday offers a mountain hike for children to Cânaia Refuge and a long trek on Via Transilvanica from Micăsasa to Blaj. Registration is available on the program's website, funded by the Sibiu County Council.
