Patru barje vor fi scufundate azi în Dunăre pentru a creşte debitul apei spre Centrala de la Cernavodă

Four barges will be sunk in the Danube to increase water flow to the Cernavodă Nuclear Power Plant. This operation follows the successful detonation of the Pârjoaia rock, which stabilized and slightly raised water levels. The barges, two loaded on-site and two from Galați, aim to redirect part of the Danube's flow to enhance water levels by 10-12 cm. The Defense Minister confirmed the operation's success, emphasizing its financial efficiency. The water level at Cernavodă has increased by 2 cm, countering previous forecasts of decline, which is crucial for maintaining power production amid high demand.
