Ahmet Uğur Pakcan, the owner of Dristor Kebab, was arrested in Turkey amid a large-scale investigation into a suspected criminal organization. Prosecutors in Ankara are examining the group allegedly led by Alihan Kuriş, with Pakcan identified as a key figure involved in operations in Romania and the Balkans. A former business partner revealed that Pakcan coordinated activities through businesses in Bucharest, including Dristor Döner and currency exchange houses. The investigation suggests that students in a dormitory managed by Pakcan were used to transport large sums of money between Turkey and Romania. Additionally, a secret communication system called 'Glooper' was discovered, designed for managing the group's operations. Pakcan remains in custody as the investigation continues, particularly regarding the financial circuit linked to the organization.
