The Olympic Ice Rink in Brașov will receive a new electrical supply network to prepare for the European Youth Olympic Festival (EYOF) 2027. The estimated cost of the project is 654,987.50 lei, excluding VAT, with a completion time of three months. This upgrade aims to enhance the rink's electrical capacity for the event scheduled from February 14 to 21, 2027. Brașov will host the men's ice hockey tournament, while other competitions will take place in Târgu Secuiesc and Sfântu Gheorghe. The festival targets athletes aged 14 to 18 and will feature ten winter sports disciplines. The Brașov rink, inaugurated in 2010, has a total capacity of over 2,000 spectators, with specific temperature settings for different sports activities.
