Patinoarul Berceni Arena va purta numele lui Doru Tureanu, legendă a hocheiului românesc

The Berceni Arena in Sector 4 will be named after the renowned Romanian hockey player Doru Tureanu, honoring his legacy. The announcement was made during the opening of the European Week of Sport 2026. The ceremony included family members, former teammates, and sports officials. Tureanu, who was inducted into the International Ice Hockey Federation Hall of Fame in 2011, is remembered for his contributions to Romanian hockey. A mini-exhibition showcasing his personal items was also set up at the arena. The venue will host various ice sports events, including a free public event on September 26, featuring demonstrations of different ice sports.
