The Basarab Bridge in Bucharest will reopen tonight after two and a half months of repairs, as announced by the mayor. Ongoing work will ensure the bridge's safety and maintenance for the future. The repairs included asphalt, structural fixes, and cleaning of drainage systems. The bridge, inaugurated in 2011, had not undergone maintenance due to lack of official reception, leading to its deterioration. It connects sectors 1 and 6 and features two traffic lanes and tram lines.
