„Pas istoric” al Ungariei, care desecretizează toate dosarele colaboratorilor din perioada comunistă

Hungary is set to declassify thousands of communist-era police files, allowing public access to information about informants and collaborators. This move coincides with the 70th anniversary of the 1956 anti-Soviet uprising and fulfills Prime Minister Peter Magyar's promise to help citizens understand their totalitarian past. Previously, access was limited to personal files, but now anyone can search the online database. The declassification will occur in two phases starting November 4, with some sensitive details still redacted. This initiative is seen as a significant step compared to other former Eastern Bloc countries.
