Pas important pentru Tunelul Poiana de pe A1 Sibiu–Pitești: începe asamblarea „cârtiței”

The first component of the tunneling machine for the Poiana Tunnel is on its way to the construction site. The machine will bore through the mountain on the Cornetu–Tigveni section. The platform for the TBM's installation is nearly complete. The initial drilling head, measuring about 6.5 meters in diameter and weighing around 180 tons, will be assembled on-site. The total diameter of the TBM will reach approximately 12.5 meters for the tunnel excavation. The entire TBM assembly will be about 100 meters long and will facilitate excavation, material removal, and installation of precast concrete segments. Project representatives have indicated that the countdown has begun for the TBM's arrival at the site, which is part of a challenging mountainous section of the infrastructure project.
