The restoration and consolidation of the historic Church of St. Nicholas in Brașov is underway, focusing on both interior and exterior improvements. Specialists are addressing various challenges, including high temperatures, while working on restoring murals, repairing damaged plaster, and modernizing utilities. Recent excavations revealed 300-year-old underground drains, which are being assessed for functionality. The project, which began on August 1, 2025, aims to enhance the church and its surrounding chapels, with a total budget of over 24 million lei, funded by the Central Region Program 2021-2027.
