Pas decisiv pentru Secțiunea 2 a Autostrăzii Sibiu-Pitești

The construction of Section 2 Boița-Cornetu of the Sibiu-Pitești Highway is progressing, with 15% completion and a new environmental agreement under review. The National Road Company submitted the necessary documentation for the environmental agreement revision on August 12, 2026. Currently, Turkish contractors are working on 45% of the site, focusing on tunnels and structures with 646 workers. The project includes complex structures such as 7 tunnels and 24 bridges, with a total contract value of 4.25 billion lei. This highway is strategically important for Romania and the EU.
