Pas decisiv pentru aderarea Ucrainei la UE. Parlamentul a adoptat legea privind drepturile minorităților

Ukraine's parliament has passed a law enhancing minority rights to facilitate EU accession talks and ease tensions with Hungary. The law, supported by 266 out of 450 deputies, strengthens protections for minority languages in schools and cultural events. This legislative move is crucial in addressing the long-standing diplomatic dispute with Hungary, particularly concerning the rights of around 100,000 ethnic Hungarians in Transcarpathia. The new Hungarian Prime Minister, Peter Magyar, has agreed on an action plan with Ukraine and lifted Budapest's veto on negotiation clusters. However, Hungary's government has set conditions for further legislative adoption. This development may lead to a direct meeting between Magyar and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at the upcoming European Council summit.
