Partidul premierului Kulbergs, dat de exit-polluri câștigător detașat al alegerilor parlamentare din Letonia: „Nu mă așteptam la un asemenea rezultat”
The centrist pro-Ukrainian party, Unit List, led by Prime Minister Andris Kulbergs, won Latvia's parliamentary elections with 35.6% according to exit polls. The populist party Latvia First came in second with 11.3%. Kulbergs expressed surprise at the results and hopes to remain in office, although he prefers not to govern with the pro-Russian party. The elections occurred amid concerns over Russian hybrid threats in the Baltic region. Kulbergs, who took office in May, had previously promised to enhance defense capabilities and maintain high military spending.
