Partenonul este complet din nou după 220 de ani. Cum arată după una dintre cele mai dificile restaurări de pe Acropole

For the first time in about 220 years, the western pediment of the Parthenon is fully visible after extensive restoration work. The Acropolis Restoration Service removed scaffolding, revealing two new marble blocks and a fully restored wall behind them. This project, initiated in 2011, involved significant challenges and was led by architect Kosmas Skaris. The restoration revealed more damage than initially thought, requiring careful planning and collaboration among various specialists. The completed pediment now includes new marble that fills gaps left for nearly two centuries, funded by EU programs. The restored facade is a testament to ancient craftsmanship and modern conservation efforts.
