The Bistrita City Council has decided to manage the Sugălete ensemble's portico and sidewalk for ten years, allowing for rehabilitation works to begin. Mayor Gabriel Lazany noted that the area was mistakenly treated as public property, while it actually belonged to the owners of the buildings. Discussions with property owners led to this agreement, enabling the municipality to start restoration in September. Lazany emphasized the importance of this step for the historical site and expressed gratitude to the owners for their cooperation. Previously, a European funding project for complete rehabilitation was abandoned due to financial constraints from property owners.
