Parlamentul revine asupra propriei decizii: noul sistem TollRO și rovinieta electronică vor intra în vigoare de la 31 august pentru a nu pune în pericol un jalon din PNRR

The Romanian Parliament has revised its decision on the electronic road toll system, setting the implementation date to August 31, 2026, instead of October 1, 2026. This change corrects a legislative error that conflicted with the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR). The new law must still be approved by the Chamber of Deputies before it can be enacted. The TollRO system will replace the current road tax for heavy vehicles, charging based on distance traveled and vehicle category. It aims to enhance funding for road infrastructure and comply with EU commitments.
