The Lithuanian Parliament has approved a proposal to lift the ban on stationing nuclear weapons, prompting threats of retaliation from Russia. Dmitri Peskov, spokesperson for Putin, warned that this move could escalate tensions in Europe. The final vote on the amendment is scheduled for January 12. Lithuania is also in talks with the U.S. regarding the potential deployment of American nuclear weapons. Peskov emphasized that such actions would not contribute to stability and would lead to increased security measures from Russia.
