Parlamentul Iranului îl aprobă pe Mehrdad Akhlaghi în funcția de ministru al Apărării, după ce predecesorul său a fost ucis de Israel

Iran's Parliament has appointed Mehrdad Akhlaghi Ketabchi as the new Minister of Defense, ending months of interim leadership. Akhlaghi, a veteran in the defense sector, replaces Majid Ebn al-Reza, who took over after the assassination of the previous minister. He aims to enhance military infrastructure and technology while expanding private sector cooperation. Akhlaghi warned of a strong response to any U.S. military actions, particularly regarding the potential use of the GBU-43/B bomb against Iran's energy and nuclear facilities. He emphasized the need for the U.S. to ensure the safe withdrawal of its forces from the region.
