Parlamentul European își consolidează relația cu Canada. Un nou birou de reprezentare va fi deschis la Ottawa

The European Parliament will establish a representation office in Ottawa to enhance relations with Canada, focusing on security, trade, and Arctic issues. This decision follows discussions between European and Canadian parliamentary leaders and aims to strengthen parliamentary cooperation. The new office will facilitate exchanges between European and Canadian lawmakers, reflecting shared values and interests. The initiative underscores the importance of collaboration in an unpredictable world, as stated by European Parliament President Roberta Metsola. Currently, the European Parliament operates nine offices outside the EU, including in locations like Addis Ababa and Washington, D.C.
