Parlamentul European a votat ridicarea imunității unui eurodeputat polonez, pentru negarea Holocaustului
The European Parliament has lifted the immunity of Polish MEP Grzegorz Braun, allowing for legal action in Poland regarding his Holocaust denial statements. Braun, known for his antisemitic remarks, leads the far-right Confederation of the Polish Crown. With elections approaching, his party holds about 8% of voter intentions. The Polish Prosecutor's Office requested the immunity lift after Braun denied the Holocaust in a 2025 radio broadcast. Public denial of Nazi crimes can lead to up to three years in prison in Poland. This is not the first time Braun's immunity has been lifted due to various controversies.
