The Bulgarian Parliament will decide on the U.S. request to station military aircraft at Bezmer airport. The defense committee approved the deployment of up to eight tanker aircraft and 250 military personnel for logistical support in the Middle East. Prime Minister Rumen Radev emphasized that these operations will not involve combat missions from Bulgaria. The Bulgarian security services have assessed that there is currently no direct military threat to the country. The Foreign Ministry clarified that Bulgaria is not taking hostile actions against Iran in fulfilling its obligations to the U.S.
