Romanian lawmakers have agreed on a new format for wealth declarations, which will no longer include exact amounts or sources of income. This change aims to enhance privacy but reduces transparency significantly. The declarations will now be called financial interest statements and will only provide income ranges, making it impossible to compare earnings over the years. Amendments can still be proposed in the Senate, but the current agreement lacks clarity on actual income sources.
