Single-parent families in Romania may receive three additional vacation days annually if a recently approved bill passes the Chamber of Deputies. The Senate approved the bill with 86 votes in favor and 22 abstentions. If enacted, single parents would have a total of 23 vacation days per year, aimed at providing extra support for their responsibilities. Currently, around 160,000 single-parent families exist in Romania, with mothers being the primary caregivers in 85% of cases. The bill is intended to help these parents manage both childcare and financial obligations more effectively.
