A control by the Ministry of Environment revealed that the National Meteorological Administration (ANM) used public funds to purchase luxury items, including perfumes and clothing. Interim Minister Diana Buzoianu has called for the resignation of ANM's leadership and plans to report the findings to the Prosecutor's Office. The investigation uncovered significant expenditures on luxury goods, with hundreds of thousands of lei spent in 2025 and 2026. Buzoianu expressed her shock at the misuse of public funds and stated that if the leadership does not resign, she will convene a meeting to explore legal actions.
