The Serbian Prosecutor's Office concluded that no sonic weapon was used during the March 15, 2025 protest in Belgrade. Panic among participants was triggered by the sudden withdrawal of security agents, not by any acoustic device. The prosecutors found that recordings of an unusual sound had been altered, and identified a source of misinformation linked to a military analyst. They also stated that health issues reported by some individuals could not be attributed to a sonic weapon. Consequently, no criminal investigation will be initiated regarding the alleged use of such devices, although the Prosecutor's Office will continue to investigate the manipulation of recordings and the spread of false information.
