The European Public Prosecutor's Office conducted seven searches in Romania related to a hospital procurement fraud case. They suspect that the budget for a nearly 4 million euro project was artificially inflated. Investigators are examining whether the estimated value of medical equipment was manipulated to increase costs. The searches took place at Ilfov County Council, Ilfov Emergency County Hospital, and various addresses linked to suspects. The investigation was initiated following a report from the National Anti-Corruption Directorate.
