The focus is on combating corruption, money laundering, and organized crime affecting EU financial interests. This agreement outlines practical cooperation methods between the European Public Prosecutor's Office and China's Supreme People's Procuratorate. It aims to improve asset recovery from illegal activities and does not create a new joint institution or political agreement. Additionally, a plan for action from 2026 to 2028 was established to foster effective collaboration in cross-border investigations.
