The parking lot in front of Henri Coandă International Airport will temporarily close for modernization starting August 19. Vehicles will be redirected to other airport parking areas. Taxi and ride-sharing stations have been moved to the Departures terminal. The project aims to address significant structural degradation found since the airport's construction in 2003. The second phase of work will include foundation reinforcement and installation of seismic safety systems. Access restrictions will last until early next year, with a new four-level parking facility opening this fall to compensate for lost spaces.
