A new recreational park covering over 2 hectares will be developed on the site of the former Mamut swimming pool in Alba Iulia, with an investment of over 26.2 million lei. The project includes green infrastructure, a pond, playgrounds, fitness areas, and picnic zones, aiming to revitalize the degraded area and connect it to nearby residential neighborhoods and the Mamut Forest. The park will feature permeable surfaces, 180 trees, and sustainable water management systems. Construction is expected to take 18 months, funded through regional programs and local budgets.
