Paradoxul aurului. Cele mai pline "seifuri" nu sunt în băncile centrale. Familiile din India și China domină piața bijuteriilor din aur

Gold is not only stored in central bank vaults but also in households, especially in India and Turkey. In 2025, India was the largest buyer of gold jewelry, followed by China and the USA. Despite rising prices, global spending on gold jewelry reached a historic high. Indian families hold about 25,000 tons of gold, significantly more than the US government. Wedding jewelry accounts for a large portion of gold purchases in India, while Turkish households also keep substantial gold reserves at home. In Vietnam, gold buying traditions persist despite price increases, and in China, preferences are shifting towards gold bars and coins.
