In Romania, while 83% of individuals use AI technologies, only 5.2% of companies have integrated them, the lowest in the EU. Employees are increasingly turning to AI for work-related tasks, with 22% consulting AI first for problem-solving. Despite recognizing AI's potential to transform their jobs, many workers feel unprepared for upcoming changes. Experts warn that AI does not guarantee better decision-making without clear responsibilities. The widespread adoption of AI could significantly boost Romania's economy, potentially adding 30 to 50 billion euros to its GDP by 2040. The country is also developing RO AI Factory, a national infrastructure for AI, expected to be operational by 2027.
