During the summer season, while many Romanians travel abroad, the number of foreign tourists visiting Romania has increased significantly. In the first half of this year, there were 5.6 million arrivals in accommodation units, with a notable rise in foreign visitors despite a decline in Romanian tourists. The total number of Romanian tourists decreased by 6.8%, indicating a shift towards international travel. Foreign tourist arrivals reached 1.19 million, marking a 7.3% increase compared to last year, with popular destinations including Bucharest and Brașov.
