Pope Leo XIV will meet seven sexual abuse victims during his visit to France, aiming to encourage personal dialogue. The French Bishops' Conference confirmed the private nature of the meeting, which has drawn criticism from some victim groups. They expressed disappointment over the limited number of attendees and the individual approach, arguing for a collective representation. The CEF stated that the selected victims will represent diverse backgrounds and experiences. Additionally, victims unable to attend are invited to send written messages to the Pope, which will be compiled and presented to him.
