The initial budget proposal for 2026 suggested only 50 million lei, the same as last year. Minister Diana Buzoianu highlighted the record number of projects funded and emphasized the need for consistent investment in water infrastructure over the past 35 years. A World Bank study indicates a need for at least 26 billion lei in the next 15 years for essential works. Buzoianu stated that maintaining the current investment pace for 15 years is crucial for completing critical projects.
