Panourile fotovoltaice au produs jumătate din energia României. Producție record echivalentă cu patru reactoare nucleare
On Friday, solar energy became Romania's primary electricity source, generating over 50% of the national output, equivalent to four nuclear reactors. This surge followed the shutdown of Unit 2 at the Cernavodă Nuclear Power Plant due to low Danube water levels. At noon, solar production reached 2,886 MW, representing 52.15% of the total electricity generation. Despite a drop in solar output later, it remained the main energy source. The increase in solar production compensated for the nuclear energy loss, with the Prime Minister stating the energy system remains stable. He emphasized the need for strategic investments and support for prosumers to enhance energy storage capabilities.
