The Slovak government has approved the deployment of up to 101 soldiers for NATO's Eastern Sentinel operation to enhance airspace protection. The troops will primarily be stationed in Poland and Romania, focusing on improving NATO's air surveillance capabilities. This mission aims to strengthen deterrence and test interoperability among Slovak forces in a multinational framework. Once approved by Parliament, the soldiers will assist in airspace monitoring, data sharing, and contribute to NATO's integrated air and missile defense system. The operation was initiated in response to airspace violations affecting NATO member states.
