Pahonțu, head of SPP for over 20 years, also combines his salary with a military pension. Union leaders, including Bogdan Hossu, have maintained their influence for decades, often without accountability. Their long tenures have raised concerns about their connections to past regimes and the implications of their financial benefits on public perception.
