Ovidiu Ohanesian, mărturii șoc despre răpirea jurnaliștilor din Irak: „O bătaie de joc. Eu am fost fraierul care a fost răpit pe acolo, că aveau nevoie de un fraier”
Omar Hayssam's conditional release has reignited discussions about the controversial kidnapping of three Romanian journalists in Iraq. Journalist Ovidiu Ohanesian, one of the victims, criticized the investigation, claiming it was poorly handled and many details remain unresolved. He argues that the case was shrouded in secrecy, with key documents classified. Ohanesian refutes claims that the kidnapping was staged, asserting that not all individuals present were kidnapped. He also questions the competence of Florian Coldea, who oversaw the operation, suggesting he lacked the necessary authority. Ohanesian emphasizes the absence of evidence regarding the ransom payment, despite believing it occurred. He implicates former President Traian Băsescu in the oversight of the operation, asserting that Coldea's presence in Iraq required presidential approval.
