Organizaţiile fermierilor cer suplimentarea sprijinului pentru îngrăşăminte la nivelul maxim de 200% permis de legislația europeană pentru compensarea creşterii preţurilor

Farmers' organizations are urging the Ministry of Finance to increase the budget for the Ministry of Agriculture to 157.18 million lei. This funding aims to provide additional national support for fertilizer price increases, allowing for a maximum of 200% compensation as permitted by EU regulations. Currently, the proposed government support is only at 100%, which is insufficient given the rising costs of fertilizers. The organizations emphasize that without this increase, agricultural productivity may suffer. They suggest that the additional funds be allocated in 2026 through budget rectification or from the government reserve fund, ensuring timely support for farmers. Furthermore, they call for Romania to advocate for the suspension of the carbon emissions adjustment mechanism for fertilizers at the EU level.
