The data reveals a concerning gap between reported cases and actual incidents, suggesting that around 50,000 children may suffer abuse annually without detection. The Barnahus model, initiated in Romania, aims to provide integrated support for child victims, reducing trauma by centralizing services. Plans are underway to establish nine more Barnahus centers across the country, enhancing professional training and legislative reforms to better protect children.
