Ordin rar de eliminare a unui rechin alb în Australia de Vest

A rare order for the capture and removal of a great white shark was issued off the coast of Western Australia following a fatal attack on a swimmer. The victim, identified as 63-year-old Greg O’Neil, was attacked while swimming at Sorrento Beach. Authorities have closed beaches in the area as the search for the shark continues. This incident marks the second shark attack in the region this week and the third fatal attack this year. The Minister of Fisheries stated that the order was issued due to the exceptional circumstances of the attack, emphasizing that it does not indicate a general extermination policy. The use of drones and tagging systems will be increased to enhance beach safety.
