Governor Vadim Filașkin emphasized the necessity of this difficult decision to protect children from constant threats. Kramatorsk is the last significant Ukrainian stronghold in the Donetsk region, with Russian forces advancing nearby. Approximately 525 children and their guardians will be evacuated. Meanwhile, peace negotiations remain stalled, with Russia aiming to seize remaining Ukrainian territories in Donetsk, while President Zelensky insists on a referendum for any territorial concessions.
