The Oradea City Hall has started to reduce water usage in public spaces due to increased drought conditions in Bihor. While the water supply for residents remains unaffected, the municipality has activated the first level of its water deficit plan. In other areas of Bihor, 33 localities face water supply restrictions, with some households lacking running water. The city has prohibited the use of drinking water for washing sidewalks and filling pools, and has reduced irrigation in public areas. If drought worsens, stricter measures may be implemented, including further restrictions on water usage.
