Starting August 1, public transport in Arad will have the lowest fare in Romania, with tickets costing 1 leu for 24 hours. A weekly pass will be 5 lei, and a monthly pass will be 20 lei. Additionally, every Friday, public transport will be free for all passengers. The changes aim to reduce pollution and traffic in the city. CTP Arad is also addressing staff shortages, needing more tram drivers and bus operators. The initiative is part of a broader effort to promote electric public transport as an environmentally friendly solution.
