Cluj-Napoca has inaugurated Romania's first large voluntary waste collection center, allowing residents to dispose of various household waste for free, excluding regular household waste. The center, built at a cost of approximately 4 million euros, is part of a national plan to establish 13 similar facilities across the country. It accepts a wide range of waste types, including construction debris, old furniture, and electronic devices, while adhering to strict guidelines for waste acceptance. The facility also features sorting and recycling equipment, promoting sustainable waste management practices.
